Dennis M. Bowman RT(R), CRT(R),(F) I have been an active radiographer for over 35 years and have been employed as a staff technologist at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula in Monterey, California, since 1990. I was also the CHOMP Clinical Instructor for the Cabrillo College Radiology Program from 1991 to 2014. With a digital dosimeter and a vast array of body phantoms, I have put in hundreds of hours researching, studying and putting into practice, digital techniques. I have traveled nationally and internationally, lecturing on how best to critique digital radiography and maximize image quality while minimizing patient dose. In 2013, I created my own business and website: Digital Radiography Solutions (digitalradiographysolutions.com). I co-authored my first textbook with Quinn Carroll titled “Adaptive Radiography With Trauma, Image Critique and Critical Thinking”, which was published in 2014 by Delmar/Cengage. I created all of the CR and DR digital techniques and Entrance Dose (ESE) for the 13th Edition of Merrill’s Atlas of Radiographic Positioning & Procedures which was published February, 2015 In 2015 Leslie and I created our company FluoroRadPro and our website fluororadpro.com. In late 2016 we became FluoroRadPro, LLC. Our goals was to create a 4 hour/4 CEU course that would comply with the new California standards needed to renew a fluoro license for radiographers and physicians. After 2+ years of work, we completed “Fluoroscopic Radiation Protection” which is an online course and a DVD for educators. I am available for speaking engagements for groups of any size. My talks are all ARRT category A accredited. I am also available for consultation work which can be tailor made to meet your needs, from simple lecture style presentations for your staff to full day meetings with your radiologist’s and radiographers and watching how your department runs. My talks and/or consultation work are designed to offer practical information that your facility can use immediately.
